                  211 2nd Ave NE, Cullman, AL 35055

Program: Saving the Story

Attendees will learn how to break down their story with beats. In turn, they will find the right starting point in their book, prevent sagging middles, and dragging storylines. The information is based on Blake Snyder's book, Save The Cat! and Michael Hauge's Story Mastery. Attendees should be familiar with the movie Pretty Woman, but it's not necessary.

Speaker:

Carla Swafford loves romance novels, action/adventure movies, and men, and her books reflect that. And that’s not all, she’s crazy about hockey, and thankfully, no one has made her turn in her Southern Belle card. In 2015, Carla received RWA’s Pro Mentor Of The Year Award. She had books published by Avon Impulse, Avon Red, LoveSwept, and presently self-publishing the first of her Atlanta Edge Hockey series, Crossing The Line. She’s married to her high school sweetheart and lives in Alabama.
